SHIB, SOL, HYPE and XRP All Stalled This Week — What the Charts Are Really Telling Holders

If your portfolio has felt like it’s going nowhere lately, you’re not imagining it. Shiba Inu, Solana, Hyperliquid and XRP have all hit a wall this week, with each coin either stuck in a downtrend or pausing just below a key price ceiling, according to a fresh technical breakdown published by U.Today on July 20.

None of this means a crash is coming. It mostly reflects something simpler: trading volumes across the market have thinned out, and without fresh cash flowing in, prices aren’t moving much in either direction. For holders, that’s worth understanding rather than panicking over.

Shiba Inu still can’t shake its slump

SHIB was trading close to $0.0000041 at the time of the report, continuing a downtrend that’s dragged on for most of 2026. In chart terms, the coin keeps printing lower highs and lower lows — a pattern technical traders read as sustained selling pressure rather than a temporary dip.

The token lost a rising price channel that had held between March and May, and hasn’t reclaimed any of its major moving averages since. Its 50-day average sits above $0.0000045, with longer-term averages even higher — meaning SHIB would need a meaningful rally just to get back to “neutral” footing, let alone bullish.

Trading activity has also shrunk to some of its lowest levels of the year. That can look like calm on the surface, but analysts note it usually signals hesitation — buyers simply aren’t stepping in with size yet. A relative strength reading near 35 puts SHIB close to oversold territory, though that alone isn’t a guaranteed turning point.

Solana looks like the healthiest of the bunch

Solana is faring noticeably better. After bouncing off June lows near $60, SOL climbed above $80 before settling into a consolidation phase, and was last trading around $76 — still above both its 50-day and 100-day averages.

Sellers have repeatedly failed to push the price below the $73–$74 support zone, and its relative strength sits near a balanced 50, rather than showing panic selling. The next real test is the 200-day average, clustered between $80 and $81 — a level that has capped Solana’s advances so far.

Hyperliquid cools off after a huge run

Hyperliquid’s HYPE token has had one of the strongest multi-month runs in the market, climbing from under $30 to above $75 before pulling back. It was trading around $61 at the time of the report, after slipping below its 50-day and 100-day averages, both clustered near $64–$65.

Despite the pullback, HYPE remains well above its rising 200-day average near $57 and its 200-day moving average around $49 — a sign that, unlike SHIB, the coin’s longer-term trend is still intact rather than broken.

XRP goes quiet

XRP, meanwhile, has been the quietest of the four, with the report describing it as stuck in a tight, range-bound pattern rather than trending clearly in either direction — a sign that traders are waiting for a bigger catalyst before committing fresh money.

What this means if you’re holding

None of these patterns guarantee what happens next — technical analysis describes probability, not certainty. But the broader takeaway for everyday holders is that this isn’t a market driven by panic or euphoria right now; it’s one waiting for a reason to move. Low trading volume tends to exaggerate swings once new money does arrive, for better or worse.

If you’re holding SHIB, the coin needs to reclaim key averages before a real recovery case can be made. SOL and HYPE holders are in a comparatively stronger spot, with both coins holding above longer-term trend lines even after recent pullbacks. XRP holders, for now, are simply watching a market that hasn’t decided which way it wants to go.
